Electrical System Requirements
To unleash the full potential of the SAV5500x1 and prevent damage to your equipment, your vehicle's electrical system MUST be upgraded to handle extreme current demands:
1-Ohm Stability Note: This amplifier is 1-Ohm stable reactively (after impedance/inductance rise). Consult with a SAVARD Tech if support is needed.
High-Output Alternator: Recommended to have a minimum of a 250A+ high-output alternator is required to maintain proper operating voltage under heavy loads.
Auxiliary Battery Bank: High-rate AGM or Lithium battery support is mandatory near the amplifier to supply instantaneous current bursts.
Upgraded Wiring: 1/0 AWG pure oxygen-free copper (OFC) power/ground runs and the "Big 3" electrical upgrade are required.
